On the way back from shopping last night we stopped at the Bass Pro Shops to get some Archery supplies. My daughter tried the shooting game in the store as she has never shot a gun. She had fun :), saw some huge fish they had in the tank there. When we exited the store I saw a great sunset so I grabbed the camera and we went for a walk. Could not get a clear shot of the sunset, but this is the walkway leading to the boat section of the bass pro shop. I go down on top of this rock and took the picture using my fist as a brace for the camera, 1/10 sec exposure. I like the angle and the view. Added 20 clarity and 5 black in LR and copyright in PS
Happy 4th everyone!
10 min later photographing the fountian I lost my lens hood in the lake to the left of this shot. Seems it was not tight and I feed the ducks. They kept looking down at the water and then at me so I know where it went :( B&H here I com.

A Fishing We Will Go...

This is posted a day late, but thought you might enjoy hearing about our day!

Well, today was the grand opening of the new Bass Pro Shop in Ontario, California. So we packed up the Pacifica with Nana, Papa, Mommy & Daddy and headed for the hour drive out to Ontario just to see a lot of taxidermy, fishing equipment and guns. Gotta' love it!

Being from the South, I felt like I had gone home. It was a really nice store and Amelia loved the boats as seen in this picture. She wore her cowgirl best and tried out probably 20 boats. She was so cute. In the Bass Pro Shop Excursion Gallery, you can see her acting out the scene from Titanic in a bass fishing boat. A little twist on the whole Titanic movie.

This photo isn't probably technically the best photo I have ever taken since her left eye is out of focus, but I just loved the look on her face as if she were in hog heaven.

Papa, of course, bought Amelia a remembrance of the day...a small moose that she calls a reindeer and named BassProShop since it has that stamped on the foot. No matter how much to try to convince her that it is a moose, she just knows that it is a reindeer and she says, "Mommy...Teasing."

All in all, this was a great day with a lot of shopping, good food at their restaurant and fun with the family.
