SmugMug > keywords > beechcraft > Beechcraft SNB-2C Navigator [1942] N75018 (BuNo 29585) Tahoe Air Fest, Lake Tahoe Airport, California - August 1999 Originally built as a navigation trainer during WWII, this SNB-2C BuNo 29585 was overhauled and configured for service as a photo reconnaissance trainer in the 1950s, serving with the Navy's Photo School at Pensacola, Florida until it was retired in 1972. After 24 years of desert storage, the airplane was made airworthy once again, and its unique and historical configuration and equipment were preserved. As of 2009, it was in flying condition, but with civil registry N585PB, which lists it as an RC-45J Expeditor, the Air Force equivalent.
