I'm dying for some of those lovely fall aspen shots for my portfolio. This is about all I can get of even the birch 'cuz, doggone it, they're always around buildings or ugly industrial stuff!

SmugMug > keywords > birch > Little birch and white maples. This is a ten shot merging, each frame bracketed for exposure and focused differently but, with each one, giving the camera an upwards flip. I like creating these. Thanks Ed K (ed k photo) for making me realize that I'm not crazy for loving these! I think part of the reason I really like them is that I feel that I am creating something, as opposed to just capturing what I see. Having an idea, finding just the right scene and then shooting what (and how) I think I need to create an image that doesn't exist yet.... Anyway, it does feel like have a little freedom and creative control over the process without getting really bogged down in the PP world.
