2009-07-24 - Crex Meadows - WI - Great Blue Heron Flying
As it was getting later in the evening we were driving around pretty quickly to see more of the park. I was driving with my window open and my cameras in my lap, when I noticed this blue heron flying in our direction. I swung my camera out the window found and tracked the heron and was able to get off two shots before I hit my arm on the edge of the window. I was surprised that either of the pictures turned out at all considering the angle I was at. Both were a little soft at 100% due to camera shake, but I still liked the golden lighting and I think it works okay.
This is about a 10 megapixel crop of the original.
