SmugMug > keywords > boutwell > Week 33 (Mike) -"The Drinking Dragon" Hey, it looks as if this Dragon is trying to sneak a sip from the 2 glasses of liquid being balanced by the Chinese performer. Careful positioning allowed me to gain this creative perspective at The Chinese New Year Festival in Birmingham, AL. The Chinese New Year began on 1-26-2009. This year is the year of the Ox. I was fortunate enough to be selected by the committee as the official photographer for the event which allowed me great photographic mobility and back stage access. It was great fun. Tech info: Shutter Speed Priority mode, Auto white balance, f4.2, at 1/125th seconds. Multi Metering at ISO 400. Fill flash with Nikon SB800. Edited in Photoshop Light Room 2.
