SmugMug > keywords > catfish > A cormorant has caught a catfish and has been whacking it on the ground, trying to get it into the correct position to swallow.  It must swallow the fish head first or the fins will stick in its throat and kill it.  It later swallows this fish with all the stuff sticking to it. The Redtail Catfish is native to the Amazon, Orinoco, and Essequibo river basins of South America. It is found only in fresh water.
