This was my first painting in the "Hello" series.  It was inspired partially by my friend Andrew's daughter Thandie (she loves robots), and by the song "Robot Parade" by They Might Be Giants.

I wanted to paint a very simple, iconic, yet imperfect depiction of a child-friendly robot.
