SmugMug > keywords > desat > 18 November 2008 A rusty old contraption. I spotted this a few weeks ago and decided to go back for it today, using the new lens. Thought it would make a change from close-ups of new lenses and unnaturally clean motorbike parts!
SmugMug > keywords > desat > From atop a bare and windswept hill on the Southern Oregon Coast. I have come back to photograph this old snag several times lately. Stunted and scarred from ages of extreme winds, it's quite a character, that changes with the angle from which it is viewed. There was quite a sunrise display going on to the East, but I opted for a sidelit profile shot. Otherwise the tree would have ended up in a silhouette
