SmugMug > keywords > dryer > 20 November 08 For you, Schmoo! HAIRDRYER! I stayed at a hotel in Brussels (Belgium) for work, guess what they had there? A hairdryer :D I tried something of a Dave Hill-y look on it, not sure if I like it yet.
SmugMug > keywords > dryer > August 26, 2008; Day 116. This is the next in my household appliance fisheye series. I already captured the dishwasher back in June. (That shot will be improved when I have underwater housing for the camera someday.) The dryer begs for motion, so I threw in a multi-colored towel and an orange pillow case. Luckily, dryers are easily fooled into thinking that the door is closed so getting the motion was somewhat easy. The trick is to take a lot of shots so that you get one or two balanced ones that also tell you that you're inside a dryer. Tonight’s training ride was uneventful. I’ve shortened the mid-week rides to 20.2 miles. That took me 1 hour, 3 minutes tonight; I had a slight breeze to contend with. I still have not been able to train in the rain. SmugMug > keywords > dryer > June 3, 2008 Dryer Light The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah nearly started playing when my dryer light came on this evening. I was afraid that the old machine had bit the dust because it wouldn't turn on for love or money. While I would be thrilled with one of those pretty new energy efficient models, I really don't want to have to BUY one right now. As it turns out, it was just another side effect of the never-ending and still-not-progressing kitchen remodel saga. With the microwave plugged in to an outlet in the living room, if you use it without making sure the dining room light is turned off first, all sorts of breakers and fuses start tripping. We never know which one will go out next. For some crazy reason I can flip every switch in the breaker box with no results. I REFUSE to succumb to helpless female syndrome, but am convinced that our particular electrical system responds only to the Y chromosome. Ahhh.
