SmugMug > keywords > gargoyle > 30.8.09 - Smiley Face I've been shooting for the Tourist Board again today, in and around the cathedral. I must have taken thousands of photos here, but every time I manage to find new subjects, new angles, and of course the light changes almost every minute. I'm still processing the shots from today, and I'm hoping to go out again this evening to shoot fireworks, but the weather is conspiring against me. SmugMug > keywords > gargoyle > August 25, 2009 Photo of the Day -- Paris through the Eyes of the Gargoyles of Notre Dame, Paris, France A classic shot that I took just over 2 weeks ago when I was in Paris. Notre Dame of Paris was build almost 900 years ago and took them 200 years to complete it. One of the things it is famous for are its monsters on top (Gargoyles) none of which look alike. It is a long line you have to wait in if you want to go on top that is if you are willing to climb over 400 tiny spiraling steps. Once up there, you have to take a shot where you capture a gargoyle in the foreground and city of Paris in the background in order to illustrate it to the viewers what Paris looks like through their eyes. I have gone for a dramatic post processing to send this message as strongly and Gothic-looking as I could.
