SmugMug > keywords > gatun locks > 07:19a - Three minutes have lapsed since the gate folded into the niche in the lock walls and we're slowly making our way into the chamber. In the meantime, the cargo ship in the lane ahead of us is moving into the third chamber. The gate to the second chamber in the west lane is about to be sealed shut. (As we photograph the action from Deck 11, two of the ship's photographer's are taking pictures from the lock level.)
