Glo Germ is a product used to demonstrates to students how germs are spread. Students rub Glo Germ lotion on their hands simulating the spread of thousands of tiny plastic fluorescent "germs". Then students wash their hands. A fluorescent ultraviolet lamp is then used to spot the remaining "germs." Under the lamp, the plastic "germs" that were not washed off glow brightly so they may be easily seen by the student.Helton spoke to about 1,000 students at Weber City Elementary and Duffield Primary schools about hand washing and hygiene to prevent the spread of flu, along with other flu prevention tips.
