SmugMug > keywords > gitzo > Day 28 - Mini Gitzo. There was a package from B&H waiting for me when I got home today. It was the tabletop Gitzo tripod G0057 that was on my wish list. It is small enough to take pretty much anywhere! My birthday is coming up and someone decided to get it for me (thanks, Dad!). Isn't carbon fiber amazing? Other than the discomfort in my rear end, it seems to be working great.
SmugMug > keywords > gitzo > While Cly was scouting out the location, he spotted this splendid setup. It was a Nikon D2X with GPS receiver on a Gitzo CF tripod with a fancy Markins Arca-Swiss monoball head. The camera was mounted to the tripod head with a Really Right Stuff clamp well-suited for heavy equipment. Cly was about to examine the lens but the owner returned and chased him away.This was an impressive collection of equipment! Setups like this are quite a contrast to Cly's budget mishmash of Canon/Manfrotto pieces.
