I wanted to capture the detail on the side of my glasses, and it was a good excuse to play with my flash. These are definitely more ornate frames than I've ever had before, but I don't think it's too much. :)
What was interesting in trying to get this shot was getting one focused correctly! After all, the glasses weren't exactly on my face!
