This magnificent Victorian Italianate style building is Goulburn's fourth court house which was designed by Colonial Architect, James Barnet and constructed by David Jones. It was officially opened on 14th October, 1887. The entrance gates date from about 1900 when the iron fence was erected. There is a large copper roof dome and carvings on the large sandstone gateposts. Today the Goulburn Court House is still very much in use and holds sessions.
