SmugMug > keywords > lady bug > Stopped the car to take a picture of this "giant dandelion" -Goat's Beard - and it wasn't until my fifth picture of so that I noticed the ladybug. This is the same picture as the one before, but I prefer the black and white - it goes well with the contrast between the plant and the background, and it makes that little red bug really stand out.

SmugMug > keywords > lady bug > day 112: "liar liar". i vowed to not take photos of flowers for my daily. but chuck in a squirrel skull and a cute ladybug and i am IN! and, NO, i didn't make a squirrel go deep six and skullify it for the shot. the skull was a found item. note: as i was setting up for the shot (flopping animal skull into flowers) there was a baby bunny bunkered down in the flowers. the bunny went jetting out mid-shoot. had to check my shorts after that! this was not my best composition but i liked the sharpness of the bug and skull. the macro cranks the DOF. i am going to post some alternate shots in the misc. gallery.
