Aske Hall (Near Richmond). Map ref:NZ 175 036 LANDRANGER SHEET 92. There is a a fine Gothick Temple, reputedly the work of Capability Brown, who is known to have worked at Aske Hall. Aske's greatest folly however is Oliver Duckett, a 'folly fortress' which was built as an eyecatcher for the house. Oliver Duckett is, essentially, a chunk of Richmond Castle which has been taken down stone by stone and re-erected here as part of a folly. It is basically a round bastion tower with gunports.
