SmugMug > keywords > manitoba > The "first snow Flin Flon Manitoba" - was taken a couple of days prior to the "Karst Spring photo"- along a small quiet river just south of Flin Flon. It was a beautiful sunny day in early November - after the first snow of the season. Freeze-up had begun!! - Lorne Heshka - Canada TF 521
SmugMug > keywords > manitoba > Karst Spring is located in Manitoba's Grass River Provincial Park and is rather unique. The spring is located at the point where the limestone that underlies much of southern Manitoba gives way to the Precambrian granite of the north. The water gushes out from beneath a limestone cliff - and flows over the granite of the Precambrian Shield into the Grass River. Also a great place to photograph wild orchids in late June-early July !! - Lorne Heshka, Manitoba, Canada -- TF 522
