SmugMug > keywords > mystical > Fullmoon over Half Dome. Yosemite in Winter. This was my 'consolation' shot while trying to capture my "Nature's Firefalls" rare image of Horsetail falls at sunset. I wish that I could say that I had fully researched this shot and was ready for it. Instead, I was coming back from another failed attempt to capture my Nature's Firefalls image. When I came around the corner, the moon was sitting there!! I stopped my car, setup my tripod in the middle of the road (please don't tell the park rangers I did that as it isn't a good idea!) I captured 4 shots before the moon and Half Dome were totally obscured by the clouds! I was pretty lucky to capture this - but that is part of photography.
