When we learned that Lloyd Doggett was scheduled to make an appearance near our home today, we grabbed our cameras and made our appearance at the same location. I have to give Congressman Doggett credit for his courage. He showed up with no microphone, no speakers and no bull horn. Surrounded by about 150 angry constituents, he took questions and explained where he stands on the controversial health care reform bill. But I can't say I give him much credit for wisdom. Clearly (from the outcome of this event) he does not understand that his constituents intend to vote him out of office in 2010 if he doesn't change his stand on this bill. We got a number of shots of the congressman and of the people and signs at this event. But this portrait of the congressman captures the stereotypical look of a politician. (Photo taken by Jacci.)
