Cadet WO Harper is from 2328 Army Cadet Squadron in Flin Flon, Cadet CPO2 Scott Durling, receipient of Surgeon Captain Gordon P. Fahrni Award. Cadet CPO2 Fahrni is from 213 Qu'Appelle Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Squadron and Cadet Warrant Officer Second Class (WO2) Curtis Patrick Shonoski, receipient of 17 Wing Winnipeg Honorary Colonel Award. Cadet WO2 Shonoski is from 199 St. Vital, Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron.
On 17 October 2009, the 17 Wing Winnipeg hosts the Hubbell Awards Dinner for the Sea, Army and Air Cadets at 17 Wing Officers' Mess.
The Hubbell Awards are presented annually to deserving cadets from the sea, army and air elements. The criteria for the award consist of:
good citizenship, leadership within the Corps,
effective role model for other cadets, physical fitness and community activities outside of cadets.
This year the Hubbell Awards consist of a scholarship of $750.00 plus a certificate depicting the award.
