SmugMug > keywords > prime > Killdeer This little bird does not say anything like "kill-deeer." More of a shriek. Love those eyes (there's one on the other side). A puppy's eyes in a plover. Don't ever expect to see a shot from me of these in flight. They are FAST and low.

SmugMug > keywords > prime > White Crowned Sparrow Fast becoming a favorite, but not always easy to identify because of morning light. Also tough to photograph since they still "hide" within rather than on bushes. But now I know where to look.
