SmugMug > all-time keyword > provia > The Murata Tower and Train Station
The Murata Tower is the largest office building in Nagaokakyo. It's also the biggest business to come out of Nagaokakyo. Although you may not of heard of them, you are probably using products containing parts made by Murata. They are the one of the worlds biggest manufacturers of resistors, capacitors and other electronic components. In fact their research in making smaller components is one of the reasons mobile phones are so small today. Visit their website for more information.

The entrance to the Kyoto store of BIC Camera (a chain of camera, electronics and electrical goods stores). The Kyoto store is Huge, but now I've discovered the Osaka one is even bigger, and then Yodobashi Camera (a competitor) is even bigger than that! In Kyoto however this is the biggest we've got. SmugMug > all-time keyword > provia > Lotteria
This was the first time I came across an outlet of Lotteria since my bad experience with one in Tokyo. Lotteria is a fast food chain of the Lotte company (famous for chocolates, and which no one seems to be sure if it is Japanese or Korean). It's kind of an imitation McDonalds, but worse! If that was possible. I'm not alone in my dislike for this place. (Note film shot: Nikon F80 + Nikkor AF 35 f/2 + Fujichrome Provia 400X film)
