SmugMug > keywords > ragdoll > Feb. 10th, 2009 CATS WITH ATTITUDE Near record breaking temps of 63F today enticed hundreds of Chicagoans to venture to the Brookfield Zoo. Bynx and I met the new pair of African lions. Unfortunately, Isis (female lion) would only pose near the glass which was covered in streaks. Took lots of pictures! SmugMug > keywords > ragdoll > Feb. 5th, 2009 SELF-IMAGE is nearly as important as what you really are. Trying to portray the power of self-esteem and self-image. This mild mannered housecat can be ferocious when he needs to be! I take pet photography seriously and broke many rules here. Most animals HATE direct, uneven flash and Bynx is no exception but I was trying to make him look annoyed. Cats usually prefer available light with no flash- but you all probably know that. Secondly, I didn't bathe or brush his fur. This cat doesn't mind a bath and likes brushing but not all clients' felines get water treatment- that could be a disaster. Most of his images he looks so fluffy and clean but I was going for something totally different here. Also, I didn't use any reflectors or bounced light because I was trying to add drama.
