Al photographed it using a 600 mm telephoto lens with a 2X Extender while small fish jumped out of the water in response to the bird's antics. SmugMug > keywords > reddish > June 1 - I have been away from my camera for a few days. Today I was in Portsmouth, NH with my mens' group. There arew some pretty garden areas in the church yard. I happened to find this reddish-yellow pansy hiding among lots of iris and other flowers.

SmugMug > keywords > reddish > Young hickory leaves. I love the newly opened leaves of trees and shrubs of this time of year. You see colors that last just a few brief days. In the case of these hickory leaves, there is a definite reddish cast to them. When I saw this shot on the computer, I was surprised to see that insects had already made inroads on these very young leaves. April 25, 2009 NW Ohio
