SmugMug > keywords > rhododendron > Taken at my absolute most favorite spot on the Hoop Hole Trail in Botetourt County, VA, The stream, on its way to Craig Creek, comes cascading over the rocks into a rhododendron-edged pool that's about 6' deep. I applied a little bit of the Orton Effect to this image to add a dream-like quality that, I think, befits the surreal beauty of this place that can't be naturally captured by a camera.

SmugMug > keywords > rhododendron > 7.6.09 - Red "Red" is the title of my favourite album by my favourite band King Crimson, it is also the colour of these wonderful rhododendrons that I saw this morning. Sadly it is also what I see when I close my eyes at the moment because of a sinus infection! I've even resorted to wearing sunglasses indoors to relief the pain, which should make me feel like a rock star, but really only makes me bump into things!
