SmugMug > keywords > rhythm and blues > Brownman brought the CRUZAO LATIN-JAZZ TRIO (3 members of the 5-man latin-jazz supergroup CRUZAO) to Toronto's Trane Studio on Saturday, November 29, 2008. The show featured Brownman (electric trumpet & percussion), Paco Luviano (5-string electric bass) and Max Senitt (drums), with a special guest, the young Ben Miller (6-string electric bass) sitting in for a 2-bass sound - a texture often exploited in Brown's large ensemble writing (he was named "Canadian National Jazz Composer of the Year" in 2005).
