This mother and her ducklings came out of the lake after their swim and walked practically right up to me so I could get this shot of them warming up in the grass after their afternoon swim.
SmugMug > keywords > royalty free > Feeling a bit artistic, I snapped a few photos of my son's saxophone. In post production I gave this photo a funky feel by darkening the background and adding a neon glow in several layers to get a nice color variation.

One of the things I love most about sushi is that when a roll is presented to you its not just a meal, but a work of art on sitting on your plate. This particular one, a mango lobster roll, looked ...so colorful and ohhh so tasty, I just couldn't resist capturing a shot of it. Everytime I look at it I start craving sushi. This roll is filled with lobster meat, cucumber and avocado and topped with sliced mango, a creamy sauce and masago, with a drizzle of kiwi wasabi sauce lining the side of the plate. Sushi anyone?

SmugMug > keywords > royalty free > Happy Independence Day!! I hope everyone has a safe & fun 4th of July weekend! In honor of the holiday, I snapped this photo of a large US flag near my home. The sun was behind the flag, shining through the fabric, giving it some nice highlights. Effects were done in post processing to enhance the ripples in the fabric and give the stars a nice glow.
SmugMug > keywords > royalty free > I was out hiking in the Superstition Mountains when I noticed the shadow of this saguaro framed perfectly against the diamond shaped bolder sitting behind it. That made this a landscape shot I just couldn't pass up. It was a quick day hike and a long trail so I didn't have my DSLR with me, only a point and shoot, but I think I was still able to capture the beauty of the landscape pretty well.

SmugMug > keywords > royalty free > This is a photograph of my daughter's bass clarinet, lying at an angle across its case. The black velvet from the case creats a nice solid backdrop for the photo and gives the background some slight texture.
SmugMug > keywords > royalty free > Arizona is well known for its beautiful sunsets and this one was certainly no exception. I exposed this shot to silhouette the two sagauros against the colorful backdrop of the sky. This photo really captured the full spectrum of color this sunset offered.
