SmugMug > keywords > sawtooth mountains > Stanley Lake at sunset. I had spent some time earlier in the afternoon scouting aspens when the sun dropped behind a huge cloud that covered most of the sky. I figured Stanley Lake was my best chance at a good sunset. I drove over there despite the gray, flat lighting and waited. About 30 minutes before sunset, light started to hit McGown peak and then the clouds broke up and gave a pretty nice display.

SmugMug > keywords > sawtooth mountains > Sunrise on Mount Heyburn (left) and Thompson Peak (right). Thompson Peak is the highest mountain in the Sawtooths at 10,751'.
SmugMug > keywords > sawtooth mountains > Upper Redfish Lakes with Packrat Peak to the left. This shot was taken the morning we left Kathryn Lake and came over a small pass between Kathryn and Upper Redfish. This was just the beginning of a gruelling seven mile hike out!
SmugMug > keywords > sawtooth mountains > Kathryn Lake in the morning with Elk Peak on the left and Reward Peak on the right. This is a three-shot pano. I was more concerning with lining up the peaks than leveling the lake so unfortunately the picture is titled. Other than that, isn't this a beautiful lake!?
SmugMug > keywords > sawtooth mountains > Sawtooth Mountains of Central Idaho with Thompson Peak, the range's high-point, on the horizon.

SmugMug > keywords > sawtooth mountains > These are the Sawtooth Mtns., Idaho. You are right, Graywolf, you caught me. The other of the Payette river was not the Sawtooths. Thanks for keeping me straight.
