SmugMug > keywords > school children > Entrance to Sathya Sai School: As many of you know our boat, Terra Firma, has been moored in Bahia De Caraquez for nearly 2 years while we traveled throughout South America. The mooring field we are in is located at Saiananda about 4-5 kilometers up river from Bahia. The owner, Alfredo, is a wonderful man who gives back to his community constantly. His major project has been to build a school, Sathya Sai. We had the opportunity to visit the campus and we were very impressed. The kids were absolutely great during our visit and loved having their pictures taken. We've included the color and black/white versions of the photos. We would love to hear which version you like best. You can either give each photo a thumbs up/down or write a comment. By the way, Alfredo is always looking for volunteers and donations. SmugMug > keywords > school children > Classrooms are overcrowded. This one in particular has 46 students but has only 43 chairs because of lack of funding. Kids drop out of school -either there is no money to buy school materials or they work.
