This one was in use from 1850 to 1874 and now serves as a Girl Scout meeting hall. It's the oldest schoolhouse in Riverside, one of the original villages in East Providence. As with the other one room schoolhouses depicted in this gallery, this one also has the two gender segregated entrances. As the community grew and other schools opened, this schoolhouse continued to serve as a kindergarten until 1974. Notice the two doors.
