SmugMug > keywords > secor park > Fiber optics. I wonder if anyone has ever measured the refractive index of milkweed floss, or its reflectivity. It provides endless pleasure and fascination to millions of people each autumn, to see the light shine through it and bounce from it.
SmugMug > keywords > secor park > Flights of fancy. What I see, fancifully, in this picture, are clouds that look like streams of milkweed down blowing away from the seedpods.
SmugMug > keywords > secor park > Shooting blind. I took this by holding the camera directly above the thistle bloom and hoping the camera could find a suitable focus. All the thistle blooms were either too far off the ground or oriented in such a way that looking through the viewfinder wasn't an option.
