I haven't taken any photos in daylight for a few days, so I made a special effort today. Even then I only made it by a few minutes! It was either this, or the sunset behind me, and I thought this one was a little bit different. The golden light brought out the grain in the fence nicely.

Thank-you for all the kind comments on my recent night shots. You know I love night photography, and this is the time of year for them, but I will try to get the camera out in daylight again.

After the teaser from the American Gothic shoot yesterday here is a wider view of the set-up. There is also a sneaky SP in there too.

Regarding the nature of the shoot, George you were on the right lines, but you'll have to wait until the film is finished before I reveal anymore :)

Big thanks again to those of you that keep commenting on my shots while I've been AWOL and unable to comment. I now seem to have a very slow running computer to add to everything else, which makes commenting painfully slow. It took me 30 minutes to upload this Daily.

When a potential customer asks if you can meet them in the pub it would be silly to refuse wouldn't it?

I love this place. It won awards when it was converted into a pub from an old Cobblers many years ago. There is a tasteful mix of very old, pseudo old and strikingly modern. Oh, and the beer is good too :)

I'm beginning to think someone has put a curse on me. Last week I couldn't access my emails for 4 days. Today Facebook isn't recognising my password. Hardly the end of the world, but damn frustrating nonetheless.
SmugMug > keywords > self portrait > day 273: "lazy". tired of taking close up shots and all my volunteers are in bed so it is me, an off-camera flash/umbrella and a remote trigger. the original photo is not blown out. used a lightroom preset called "x=city+scapes".

Been a while since I stuck the camera in my face, and people tell me it's good for the soul so I thought I'd better do it before I changed my mind. I've been so busy recently, and I wasn't surprised when I saw how tired I looked. Too many late nights and rushing around trying to make ends meet. I desaturated this quite a bit to reinforce the feeling of tiredness. An early night is called for, but I doubt if I'll get it :)

Storms are on their way in from the West, floods are predicted for tomorrow, yep, It's November :)

I've spent most of today in my car, and finally got home at 8pm, pretty common for manic Friday. This shot was taken using available light, don't worry, the car wasn't moving at the time. It isn't the most technically gifted shot I've ever taken, but I just thought it summed up this evening nicely. Now I'm going to hit the cheese, got a nice piece of Blue Stilton begging to be eaten with some chutney and beer :)
