Jack-in-the-Pulpit (Arisaema triphyllum ). Native to northeastern United States. Found in moist woodlands.
Some claim that this plant can be confused with poison ivy when the leaves are young. Personally I don't see much similarity beyond a tri-foliate growth habit. Confusion with trillium foliage seems much more likely.
