SmugMug > keywords > us flag > Happy Independence Day!! I hope everyone has a safe & fun 4th of July weekend! In honor of the holiday, I snapped this photo of a large US flag near my home. The sun was behind the flag, shining through the fabric, giving it some nice highlights. Effects were done in post processing to enhance the ripples in the fabric and give the stars a nice glow.

Went to lunch with Bobby, took a short Starbucks Coffee break with Rob toward the end of the work day. I got home and it was just Robin and I so we grabbed the camera and took off to check out the beaver tree. The tree was down but not by the beavers, looks like the city decided it was becoming unsafe so they finished the job with a chain saw. We drove out to old Sacramento where we ate dinner at the Rio City Cafe. We ate out on the patio over looking the river, it was nice. After dinner we walked down to see an old replica of the Nina that had sailed here from Brazil. After that we wandered around, shot some photos, grabbed some ice cream and returned home just before Brandon. While wandering Front street I saw our flag, it was backlit with the sun showing though and I thought it looked really nice so I grabbed this shot. Here are the rest of todays photos.
