SmugMug > keywords > yosemite falls > 11/13 - "Heart over Horsetail Falls" Yosemite National Park. Sunset Spring 2009. I captured this during another outing to capture Horsetail Falls. The water flow over the falls was pretty low this winter. As I was shooting I noticed the winds picking up. Some gusts picked up the trickle of the falls and it puffed up like a cloud - the sun shining on the mist and I froze this moment. This year was almost non-existent for capturing any good Horsetail Falls pictures since it was cloudy and snowing much of February this year - I guess that is what makes this such a hard picture to take since the window for good images is only a few weeks. SmugMug > keywords > yosemite falls > 11/8/09. "Sunset on Half Dome from Glacier Point" Some nice color in the summer sky with clouds above Clouds Rest and Nevada and Vernal Falls. It was uncertain if we were going to get a good sunset as high clouds hid the sun from penetrating through. These last glimpses were at dusk as the sky started to light up. This is one of those places I want to be on a Friday afternoon!
