SmugMug > keywords > yosemite valley > Star Trails over Yosemite Falls. Yosemite National Park. I shot this in January during my Aperture Nature Photography contest winning trip at about 4am in the Ahwahnee meadow standing in about 2 feet of snow. This is about a 10 minute exposure. The light below is from the buildings and cabins below. Standing in all that snow my feet were COLD!! SmugMug > keywords > yosemite valley > 11/13 - "Heart over Horsetail Falls" Yosemite National Park. Sunset Spring 2009. I captured this during another outing to capture Horsetail Falls. The water flow over the falls was pretty low this winter. As I was shooting I noticed the winds picking up. Some gusts picked up the trickle of the falls and it puffed up like a cloud - the sun shining on the mist and I froze this moment. This year was almost non-existent for capturing any good Horsetail Falls pictures since it was cloudy and snowing much of February this year - I guess that is what makes this such a hard picture to take since the window for good images is only a few weeks. For more information on Horsetail falls and my award winning "Nature's Firefalls" image see this. http://www.jharrisonphoto.com/gallery/2747559_ghkMc/1/281579766_t4hmN/Medium
