Amanda joined Emily and me for brunch at Old Monk with David. We left about five minutes late, and I don’t know how much that affected things, but it ended up taking us nearly two hours to get to Dallas. When we finally passed the wreck, there was a car nose-down leaning against a pole, with the roof of the car facing us. Something serious went down there.
After finding a parking spot somewhere in the middle of a neighborhood, we finally were able to join David, who had already been there for 45 minutes. Brunch was good though, and it was good to see David.
After brunch, we all (except David) decided dessert was necessary. On Amanda’s recommendation, we drove to a place called Bisous Bisous for pastry-style tastiness. It did not disappoint. OH yeah we also stopped at the Apple store to buy some cables. Now I can charge my phone six feet away from a wall! I can finally use my second monitor now, too. Office upgrade!
Our final stop on the ride home was at IKEA. Emily and I got a full-length mirror to go in place of Arri’s crate, which she no longer uses. I think Amanda got some baking-related stuff, maybe? I don’t remember.
Emily made some of our Community Market pasta for dinner, and it was magical. Seriously, you can’t beat fresh pasta. I mean, you can but it’s not cool to be violent to pasta. We ate it while watching a few episodes of Blindspot, a surprisingly good show for network television.
