I figured they were pretty safe and headed on down the road on my way back home.
The horses weren't nearly as interested as the goats and sheep. I don't think they notice me at all.
They kept coming and I kept inching back towards my car. I wasn't afraid (for me that is) just worried that I'd lured these animals out onto a road that was fairly busy that day.
They crossed the road, probably like they did all the time, leapt up on the guardrails like a tight-rope walker, and then dropped down on the other side to go exploring.
I'd seen plenty of wired fencing, so was petty sure these guys were contained ...
I'd been taking photos for a few minutes before I realized I wasn't alone. Not only that, I was being watched.
I stopped on the other side of the bridge where the road crosses.
I assumed this nearly dry creek area is set up to control excessive run off during storms. Pines along it's perimeter made for an interesting photo.
A view of one of the farms I passed as I continued to wander down the road.
