Another Animal Surprise
I decided I'd try to make the bloom of a lowly buckhorn plantain (Plantago lanceolata), which is a noxious weed in most people's books, look interesting, if not actually beautiful. In taking this shot I also captured a tiny green arthropod whose hyper-long antennae and long hind legs remind me of katydids, though I'm not really sure what it is. The brown stripe down its back is certainly distinctive, and might help someone identify it.
