On the first day of our trip to Myanmar, everything was new and exciting, and my photography was all over the map as I tried to capture everything. Thankfully, during a visit to this temple with a large reclining Buddha, I slowed down and took in my surroundings.
After a while, I noticed this grandmother and granddaughter kneeling near the Buddha. As you can see, the grandmother was deep in prayer, but the granddaughter was more interested in what was going on around her. I was amazed that the little girl stayed still, kneeling next to her grandmother, without once trying to get up and run around. Clearly she started watching me, which is when I was able to capture this image of the two generations.
