Pitcher's Sage in front of Maximilian Sunflower
Maximillian Sunflower is a large, perennial sunflower that does not need babying once established. It will be very vigorous, so it is not a good selection for small spaces. It is not native to Maryland according to the experts at the Maryland Plant Atlas; however, it is native to much of the United States including the extreme climate of the plains states in the central US.
