Vivian Lake Aurora
The northern lights (Aurora Borealis) dance over Vivian Lake near Prince George at about 3AM last Friday night. The solar storm hit G3 (KP7) levels briefly, and this was by far the most amazing display that I have seen watching either the southern or northern lights. Normally at these latitudes photos of the lights outshine what you can see with the naked eye by a significant magnitude, but in what was a surreal experience one could see the whole lake glowing green as if lit by a full moon while visible flashes of green, and pink danced overhead in a high frequency rhythmic pulsation.
