Shawna and Zack brought George up to Denton this morning for brunch at Upper Park Cafe. I was a little nervous about eating there, since last time was right after they opened and it was EMPTY. This time around, there was a decent crowd and the food was great! I kinda hope that place sticks around now. After brunching, we all walked to West Oak for coffee and ended up having dessert too. Amanda brought us peppermint profiteroles, which were really good, of course.
As expected, we ended up ripping the lights down off the house and replacing them with shiny new cool blue lights. We bought everything Target had left, including one roll I think we accidentally stole, and I climbed back up onto the roof. While I was up there, Emily and Wright wrapped another tree and strew the old lights from the house all through our flower beds. I think we now have the most decorated tree on the block! The competition is pretty weak, though.
To wrap up the night, we all sat and watched Legend of Tarzan. It’s terrible. Don’t watch it.
