The holiday weekend is over, which means going back to work, and apparently being barraged by Christians. As much as I love the holiday season, I always somehow forget about this aspect of it. I started the day off trying to shoot aerials on campus again. I hadn’t been out there long before three LDS dudes went out on the prowl in the exact area where I was hoping to catch a crowd of students. It was a little bit gross to watch them speed-walk up to innocent people and push The Word on them when all they really want to do was get to class.
It happened again at lunch. We were eating on the patio of Buffalo Wild Wings since it was nice out, and a dude came up trying to sell us banana bread in exchange for Jesus money for some church. We said no thanks, and then ANOTHER guy came by 5 minutes later doing the same thing. I took his picture. Seriously, you’re not doing your religion any good if you have to harass people who are just TRYING to enjoy an amazing cheddar curd bacon burger. I still enjoyed it, by the way.
On the bright side, Jonathan randomly showed up during coffee this morning, so we got to visit with him. I helped Ahna on a shoot at Big Mike’s Coffee, which starting tomorrow will be called Aura. The new owner seems like a sweetheart.
We got a knife sharpener today, so now we can cut things MORE!
