The hometown of Indianola, Mississippi's most famous son is BB King. This mural was on one of the local buildings. On our rambling backroads trip in December, 2016 we found ourselves in Indianola. There's a BB King museum, one of his tour buses, and many replicas of his guitars around town.
According to Wikipedia: "Riley B. King was born on September 16, 1925, on a cotton plantation called Berclair, near the town of Itta Bena, Mississippi, the son of sharecroppers Albert and Nora Ella King. He considered the nearby city of Indianola, Mississippi to be his home."
"Blues is a tonic for whatever ails you. I could play the blues and then not be blue anymore." ~ B. B. King
I am a big fan of BB King and all the old blues players/singers.
Thank you for your comments and critiques.
Have a wonderful day!!!
