Best seen at large scales.
Gorse is a thorney evergreen bush. In the UK it is widespread and you can see whole hillsides covered in it's bright yellow flowers.

June 19 2012 Great Spotted Woodpecker, Berenera, Scotland

This feeder was in the garden of our cottage.This Great spotted Woodpecker would chase off all the sparrows and finches to get to the feeder.

Thanks to all for comments on the Stags. I am really enjoying posting shots of the Scottish Highlands, particularly as my Dad was from Scotland.
