Description: What can you say about a Purple Gallinule posing in the morning sunlight? "Just gorgeous!" is all I can say. Their beautifully colored plumage is amazing, and this one was feeding in colorful marsh plants at the Celery Fields, a wetlands park created by the County of Sarasota in Florida for storm water management purposes. Wild birds of many varities can be seen there throughout the year.
