The Tian Tan Buddha statue in Hong Kong is gigantic. Like all Buddhist temples I have visited (which must be at least 20-30 now) it has a calmness about it that I cant put my finger on. All images creative commons non commercial.

The highest point in the ancient city of Angkor is the temple of Prasat Bei. It is situated at the peak of a hill which offers amazing 360 dgree views. The Temple is so fragile that it is dangerous to enter, so a makeshift shrine has been erected just outside for people to worship at. All images creative commons non commercial
