Anything is connected to anything
It is quite strange to look at this picture again. Not knowing what else unites me to the image. On that day I knew why I made this photo, today it is alien to me! Perhaps it was because of this unbelievable view, this unbroken picture I couldn’t leave. It has no beginning, no end … and I feel caught between here and there, between yesterday and tomorrow. That evening was so beautiful! A warm glow fell over the big and foreign city. A long working day was behind me, I was tired and I felt heavy and dull. Too tired for the first train to home, too late for the last bus till the train station. But I wanted to go home! And when I came to the railway station there was still some time for the arrival of my train. With no plans I stood around at the station!
I saw travelers, people waiting and some guys without plans and I saw the sunset. This wonderful sunset with its warm sun rays provoking a feeling of melancholy. I made this photo and went to my train which would take me home. Silently the train drove off and the lights of the city sank into a milky porridge. Faster and faster lit windows and smaller train stations passed by to my left and right. And the world out there disappeared and a monotonous sound of the wheels on the rail track came through the darkness. I looked forward to my home and I looked forward to have a rest. And a warm feeling spread through my chest, a desire for a new day and a deep hope for a new sunrise!
